Drift in Daugavpils

Last weekend there was Latvian Drift Series event in my town, for the first time ever in fact. The race took its place on a local kart circuit and despite some thoughts there was enough space to drift. Even serious cars with up to 500 hp could be seen. Despite weather forecast there was no rain, so event was really spectacular.

Audi 80 B3 was my first car. In fact it was the car my family had when I was learning to drive. For some people Audi 80 is just an old underpowered German saloon, but for me it was first driving experience and I’ve also learned some car maintenance routines, because old car may have some faults.

Many young drivers zealously like cars from this German manufacturer, others hate them and will never buy a Bimmer. I have mixed emotions when I look at BMW. I like many BMW as a piece of engineering, but from the other side I don’t like them because of negative reputation and many reckless drivers driving these cars.
